Fine sand gets into zips and hinges, daytime heat makes tents unusable without shade, and guests need private washing facilities far from infrastructure.
What we built
Vehicles carry fold-out soft shell tents with light-coloured flys, 270° awnings with sand pegs, car-side shower tents with road-shower tanks and portable DC air conditioners ducted into the tents at night.
Result
A repeatable camp layout that crews can set up the same way at every stop.
